Building a Brand: More Than Just a Logo

When I start working on a brand, I don’t jump straight into colors or fonts—I start with values. What does this brand stand for? What feelings should it evoke? Is it bold and confident? Soft and inviting? Playful and unexpected? These are the core questions that help shape a brand’s identity.

Once I have a clear sense of what the brand represents, I start building on those ideas. I gather elements that describe its essence—words, textures, imagery—anything that paints a clearer picture of the brand’s true self. From there, I create mood boards that capture the aesthetic and tone. This helps define the color palette, typography, and even the little details that make a brand unique.

Then comes the fun part—bringing it all to life. I sketch custom elements that reflect the business’s personality, ensuring that the branding feels intentional and authentic. I also explore ways to elevate the brand, pushing it beyond just looking good and into standing out. If needed, I refine the brand’s values to ensure they align with its future goals.

Finally, I make it all tangible. I design Instagram mockups, website layouts, and real-world applications of the new branding. It’s one thing to create a logo, but it’s another to show a brand what they will become when they step into their full potential. Branding isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about uncovering the best version of a business and helping it shine. ✨
